Event Assistance Program
Visit Mississippi supports and invests in events, conferences, and other activities that develop and promote tourism. Our goal is to enhance the visitor experience, increase travel-generated revenue, and showcase Mississippi as a travel destination. This program is for events with over 5,000 attendees and is subject to funding availability.
The Event Assistance Program application period is closed for FY26.
Tourism Development Grant
Visit Mississippi administers this grant, which is appropriated annually by the Mississippi Legislature through Senate Bill 3056. Now in its thirteenth year (2025), the program supports community events that highlight Mississippi’s heritage, culture, and unique tourism assets. This grant is available for new or developing events with fewer than 5,000 attendees and is subject to funding availability.
The Tourism Development Grant application period is closed for FY26.
America250 Mississippi Grant Program
