Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge
Sam D. Hamilton Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge is a 48,000-acre National Wildlife Refuge located in Noxubee, Oktibbeha, and Winston Counties. Established in 1940, the refuge offers opportunities for hunting, fishing, nature photography, and birding. Additionally, the refuge has two boardwalks and five trails available for exploration. The National Audubon Society has designated the refuge as an Important Bird Area, one of five of global importance in Mississippi.
